MahJong offers a range of different dining experiences including two elegant private banquet rooms, outdoor seating on bustling Crown St, a lively front-room featuring traditional wooden mahjong tables and an atmospheric recreation of a Chinese laneway lane which was featured in the movie Mao's Last Dancer.
Private Rooms
Our Happiness Room seats 12 to 14 people and is perfect for smaller groups. This intimate space has a retro feel and comes with its own Chinese day bed and a chandelier.
The Double Happiness Room upstairs seats 24 to 30 people and is ideal for private parties and special events. Evoking memories of 1970s Hong Kong or Shanghai in the 1950s (depending which way you look), our largest dining space comes with a self-contained bar, a lounge area and bathroom facilities.
MahJong serves banquets only in the private rooms, terms & conditions apply.
Functions & Events
MahJong Room can cater for 'stand-up' cocktail parties or sit-down banquets.
Our Double Happiness room seats up to 30 people for banquets or up to 60 guests for finger food and drinks.
We also take group bookings for private mah-jong lessons accompanied by either lunch, dinner or dim sum.
Ideal for corporate events or special occasions such as birthdays.
